You should practise this on quiet road. Turn round in your seat until you can see the road clearly through the back window. You may remove your seatbelt for reversing if it is restricting you. You should be able to see the kerb on both sides. Keep a special look- out for pedestrians before you start moving backwards. Look well down the road to the rear as you are reversing. Move lowly back and keep checking to the front and rear for approaching traffic. To make the car move towards the kerb - steer towards it. To make it move away from the kerb - steer away from it. If you have taken off your seatbelt remember to put it on again before driving away.
