Look and plan ahead for a suitable parking space. Make sure it is at least two and a half times the length of your car. You must remember to put the mirror-signal-manoeuvre routine into practice. Be sure to slow almost to a stop just before the space, keeping about a metre out from parked vehicles. Drive on slowly and steer briskly in until your front wheel nears the kerb; then steer right to bring it into line. Centre your car in the pace and you can reverse if necessary
